PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molding method and a molding machine, formable of a cylindrical section Wa of high perpendicularity on a workpiece. SOLUTION: By relatively moving a convex mold 13 with respect to a workpiece W along the axial direction of the workpiece, a hole Wc formed in the workpiece W is expanded from the inner side to mold a cylindrical section Wa. For molding it, a mold wherein a cylindrical surface 13a is formed on an outer circumference, and projecting curved surfaces 13b, 13c are formed on both ends of the cylindrical surface 13a, is used as the convex mold 13.
