PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new safety fence unit which is installed on the wall surface of a sheet-shaped steel wall surface material having a net or lattice-like structure and is used in the form of plural stages in the vertical direction for suppressing deformation of a soil structure. SOLUTION: The safety fence unit has a safety fence which has a plurality of vertical pipes to which a hook is mounted, and a plurality of spiral members which are disposed on the front of the steel wall surface material and can be locked at an arbitrary position from the bank side without leaning toward the front. The outer diameter of the vertical pipe in a state where the hook is mounted is smaller than the inner diameter of the spiral member in a state locked to the front, whereby the safety fence can be fixed at a desired position by inserting the vertical pipe into the spiral member and hooking the hook to the spiral member, and the safety fence can be re-fixed at a desired position without being completely separated from the steel wall surface material according to an increase in the number of stages of the steel wall surface material in the vertical direction.
