PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing epoxy resin particles having reactive epoxy groups on or near the surface and having an epoxy group residual ratio suitable for the purpose and to provide epoxy resin particles obtained by the production method. SOLUTION: There is provided a method for producing epoxy resin particles in which the residual ratio of epoxy groups in the epoxy resin particles after thermal curing is 10-95% comprising suspending an epoxy resin compound and a polyisocyanate compound in water, and crosslinking them together by thermal curing.
