PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink-jet recording head which detects a temperature of a recording head with higher accuracy and suppresses a variation of a discharge property of an ink. SOLUTION: The ink-jet recording head has a substrate 100 having a plurality of heaters for generating thermal energy for discharging the ink, a plurality of ink supplying openings 101 for supplying the inks to a nozzle, and a temperature detection element 106. Furthermore, the ink-jet recording head has a layer which is laminated on the substrate 100 and has, on the substrate 100, the nozzle communicating with the ink supplying opening 101. A heater train 102 which is a train of a plurality of heaters lined in the longitudinal direction in both sides of the ink supplying opening 101 is arranged, and an ink heating mechanism 1 is constituted of the ink supplying opening 101 and two heater trains 102 between which the ink supplying opening 101 is positioned. Then, the temperature detection element 106 is arranged at the center between the ink heating mechanisms 1 and also at the center in the longitudinal direction of the ink heating mechanism 1.
