PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio communication apparatus, error correcting method and error correction program in which adverse effects of wrong correction are suppressed while maintaining communication quality as high as possible. SOLUTION: An RSSI detector 4 detects a level of a received signal. An error detector 8 performs error detection of the received signal. An error correction controller 10 allows an error corrector 9 to perform the error correction of the received signal only when any error is detected by the error detector 8 and the level of the received signal detected by the RSSI detector 4 is equal to or higher than a predetermined value.
