PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating method for easily removing a magnet from a member to be coated. SOLUTION: The coating method in which a coating material containing magnetic powder is applied onto the surface of the member 10 to be coated while a magnetic sheet 12 is arranged on the back surface of the member 10 to be coated, includes: attaching the magnetic sheet 12 to a pressure-sensitive adhesive surface of a sheet 18; then punching the sheet in a shape corresponding to the shape of the back surface of the member 10 to be coated to which the sheet 18 is attached; attaching the pressure-sensitive adhesive surface of the punched sheet 18 to the back surface of the member 10 to be coated; then applying the coating material containing the magnetic powder onto the surface of the member 10 to be coated.
