The drive has a gear ring (1) which is fixed on an outer circumference side of a rotary drum in a torque-proof manner. A gear pinion (2) stands in interlocking engagement with the gear ring. The hear pinion is arranged on a drive shaft (3) in a tiltable and non-rotatable manner. A drive motor (14) is provided for driving the drive shaft. The gear pinion stands in a positive rolling contact with the gear ring after the interlocking engagement.
