<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical device that is produced efficiently and a method for manufacturing the optical device. <P>SOLUTION: A method for assembling the optical device comprises a step for preparing a whole substrate 33 having a region 32 formed in a reticular pattern to respectively correspond to a substrate 38 that an optical device has; a step for attaching a chip 3 on each region 32; a step for electrically connecting electrodes that the chip 3 and the substrate 38 have respectively; a step for providing a whole protective member 34 having a protective member 39 that is provided on each region 32 and has a function to reflect light radiated from the chip 3; a step for fixing the whole substrate 33 including the whole protective member 34 to either one of molding dies consisting of an opposing upper mold 41 and lower mold 40; a step for collectively forming a whole sealing member having a plurality of sealing members using compression molding on the whole substrate 33 including the whole protective member 34; and a step for separating an intermediate formed by the step for collectively forming the whole sealing member into a unit of each region 32. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
