<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat pump water heater capable of preventing liquid compression due to flowing of a liquid refrigerant to a compressor while saving energy in switching from a hot water storage operation to a defrosting operation. <P>SOLUTION: A heat exchange means 100 for heating the refrigerant in the compressor 11 is mounted around the compressor 11, a water supply means 30 is disposed to branch the water in a water circuit 20 used in the hot water storage operation, from the water circuit 20 and supply the same to the heat exchange means 100, and the refrigerant in the compressor 11 is heated by the heat exchange means 100 while using the water branched from the water circuit 20 as a heat source. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
