CATAMARAN WITH DOUBLE STERN SHAFTS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catamaran having double stern shafts in which its propulsion efficiency is improved through artifice of a shape of the stern.

SOLUTION: The catamaran having double stern shafts includes a hull 1 having skegs 11, 12 at its sterns 13, propellers 2101 and 2201 each of which is installed at each of the sterns 13, and pod-type propulsion units 210 and 220 for use in driving each of these two propellers. Pod struts 21, 22 are positioned and set with offsets 2A and 2B so as to be spaced apart from each of axis lines 2101A and 2201A of the propellers 2101 and 2201 and center axes 11A and 11B of the skegs 11 and 12 and connect the pod-type propulsion units 210 and 220 in a lateral direction inside the skegs 11 and 12.
