PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of reducing irregular image density caused by variation of a developing gap and an error in a circumferential direction of latent image write-in sensitivity of a photoreceptor without forming a test image for detecting the irregular image density even when the photoreceptor or a developing sleeve is exchanged. SOLUTION: A first shake information table showing relation between a rotational amount and a shake amount of the photoreceptor, a second shake information table showing relation between a rotational amount and a shake amount of the developing sleeve, a write-in sensitivity information table showing relation between the rotational amount and the latent image write-in sensitivity of the photoreceptor, and image forming condition information table showing relation between the rotational amount and laser power are stored in a RAM, and an information input means which inputs the respective tables is provided. During a print job, laser power is changed based on the image forming condition information table, and the laser power to cause deviation in a reverse direction is calculated, based on the information input during standby, to update the image forming condition information table.
