PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently cool an exhaust gas recirculation device by cooling air from a cooling fan, while easily disposing the exhaust gas recirculation device in an engine cover, in engine structure in which the cooling air from the cooling fan is blown to a front face of an engine body in the engine cover to discharge the cooling air from a discharge port of a rear wall of the engine cover. SOLUTION: The engine body is disposed so that an exhaust side and an intake side thereof are respectively positioned on one side and the other side by sandwiching the center in a width direction therebetween. A communication means of the exhaust gas recirculation device is disposed to cross the center in the width direction of the engine body on a rear face side of the engine body.
