PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a package body of a long member capable of suppressing the amount of use of a forming material while avoiding any interference of the long member of the lower package body with a long member of the upper package body. SOLUTION: A package body 1 has an upper packing material 2 and a lower packing material 3 for supporting at least an end of a steering hanger beam 7 as a long member from the upper and lower sides, and a first guide mechanism for aligning and stacking both packing materials 2 and 3 within a vertical plane substantially orthogonal to the steering hanger beam 7 in the longitudinal direction is formed between the lower side of the upper packing material 2 and the upper side of the lower packing material 3. A second guide mechanism for deviating and stacking both packing materials 2, 3 along the longitudinal direction of the steering hanger beam 7 is provided between the upper side of the upper packing material 2 and the lower side of the lower packing material 3. The first and second guide mechanisms are constituted of a projection formed on any one of the packing materials 2 and 3 and a recess to which the projection formed on the other of the packing materials 2 and 3 is fitted.
