PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly control whether processing with respect to data acquired by a terminal device is performed on external equipment side in accordance with a data volume of the data. SOLUTION: A mobile phone (terminal device) 1 determines, on the basis of the data volume of the acquired data, whether processing with respect to data is performed on an editing device (external equipment) 4 side or the mobile phone 1 side. When it is determined that the processing is performed on the editing device 4 side, data is transmitted to the editing device 4.
