PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a coupler achieving both of height reduction and reduction in energy loss by a simple structure. SOLUTION: The coupler 1 includes a substrate 2, a coupling element 3 and a ground plate 4. The coupling element 3 is formed on the substrate 2. The ground plate 4 has a projected part 4a formed by bending a part of the ground plate, the upper end of the projected part 4a is brought into contact with the rear face of the substrate 2, and the other part (base part) 4c of the ground plate 4 is opposed to the rear face of the substrate 2 in a gap.
