PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber connector which holds only an optical fiber with coating without using an adhesive and satisfies the standard of a tensile test. SOLUTION: The optical fiber from which the coating is partially removed is inserted, glass exposed by removing the coating is located at a microhole of a ferrule 1 fixed to a plug frame 2, the optical fiber 8 with coating is located at an optical fiber deflection part 4 of the rear end of the ferrule 1 and an optical fiber holding part 20. The optical fiber 8 is held only at its coated part by the optical fiber holding part 20. The optical fiber holding part 20 is composed of a substrate 5 having a groove, a lid 6 and a spring member 7. The lid 6 is mounted on the optical fiber 8 mounted on the optical fiber installing groove, and the lid 6 is pressurized onto the substrate 5 having the optical fiber installing groove by the spring member 7.
