The invention is also related to method for printing a digital data file on a digital image reproduction apparatus comprising a local user interface, said method comprising the steps of receiving a digital data file by the digital image reproduction apparatus, storing the digital data at the digital image reproduction apparatus, defining settings of the digital data file by an operator via the local user interface, storing the defined settings in relation to the stored digital data file by the operator via the local user interface, and printing the digital data file by the digital image reproduction apparatus, characterized in that said method also comprises the step of locking at least one setting of the digital data file by the operator via the local user interface so as to prevent any inadvertent change thereof.
