<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) optical communication using a light source that does not have a large dynamic range and high linearity. <P>SOLUTION: A transmission apparatus includes: a D/A converter D/A-converting transmission data to generate N pieces of parallel data; a modulator modulating each of N pieces of parallel data generated by the D/A converter to generate N pieces of modulated signals; a transmission signal generator which superimposes the nth (n=1 to N) modulated signal generated by the modulator on a rectangular wave of a frequency fn to generate the nth transmission signal so that the first to Nth transmission signals are perpendicular to one another; an adder which adds the first to Nth transmission signals generated by the transmission signal generator to generate an added signal; and a light emitter which causes the light source to emit light based on the added signal generated by the adder. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
