<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remarkably improve operability in a GUI which presents three-dimensional expression and requires input in depth direction. <P>SOLUTION: An input receiving unit 101 is constituted by, for example, a cross key, an analog stick or the like, and generates and supplies a signal of a direction corresponding to the operation of a button or stick to a signal generation unit 103. An angle sensor 102 calculates an angle to a horizontal plane of an input device 100. The signal generation unit 103 generates an operation signal based on signals supplied from the input receiving unit 101 and the angle sensor 102. When a signal for moving a cursor or focus position of the GUI is generated, the moving direction is specified to generate the operation signal.
