PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an assembling method of a spindle device which allows a component at a sub-assembly side and a component at an outer cylinder side to be easily inserted without contacting the components with each other, when a sub-assembly is assembled by being inserted into an outer cylinder in the replacement of the spindle of the spindle device. SOLUTION: In the assembling method of the spindle device, the semi-assembly 20 is assembled into the outer cylinder 40 by allowing a guide rod 60 mounted at the outer cylinder 40 to be inserted into the bolt insertion hole 31 of the sub-assembly 20 and being guided by the guide rod 60. When an outer diameter of a rotor is D, an inner diameter of a stator is d, the outer diameter of the guide rod is D1, and the inner diameter of the bolt insertion hole is d1, a gap (d1-D1)/2 in the radial direction of the bolt insertion hole 31 and the guide rod 60 is smaller ((d-D)/2>(d1-D1)/2) than a gap (d-D)/2 in the radial direction of the stator 45 and rotor 22, so that the semi-assembly 20 and the outer cylinder 40 are assemble while centering is carried out by the bolt insertion hole 31 and the guide rod 60.
