PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for effectively performing selection of the sheet storage bodies for a double row print and a single row print, in a printer in which a plurality of sheet storage bodies for feeding print sheets are allocated to each conveyance lane. SOLUTION: The printer includes a first storage station provided with a first sheet storage body for feeding print sheets to a first conveyance lane and a second sheet storage body for feeding the sheets to a second conveyance lane, a second storage station provided with a third sheet storage body for feeding the sheets to the first conveyance lane and a fourth sheet storage body for feeding the sheets to the second conveyance lane, a sheet remaining amount calculation section 44 which calculates a remaining amount of print sheets in each sheet storage body, and a storage body selection means 42 for selecting a sheet storage body for feeding the print sheets to a conveyance lane. A selection rule for selecting a sheet storage body sets the remaining amount in each sheet storage body as a selection condition, and different selection rules are used for a double row print mode and a single row print mode.
