PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lane departure prevention assisting device capable of switching a stop timing for assisting a lane departure prevention operation based on the intention of a driver to change a lane. SOLUTION: A steering torque detection means detects a steering torque of a vehicle. A steering torque determination means determines whether a steering torque is a torque threshold value or more. A lane departure prevention support means assists the vehicle to run on a lane. A threshold value setting means sets a first value when the steering torque is the torque threshold value or more and sets a second value that is higher than the first value when the steering torque is less than the torque threshold value. A lateral deviation determination means determines if a lateral deviation between the center of the vehicle and the center line of the lane is a threshold value or more.
