PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation system for navigating a route to a destination in an easy-to-recognize manner even if the remaining battery power runs short. SOLUTION: In direction determining mode, a cellular phone terminal is rotated, the direction of the destination is retrieved from the azimuth information of a geomagnetic sensor 15 and the azimuth information of the destination, and accordingly, notification is performed gradually according to the lighting level, singing level of sound, and vibration level. In a travel mode, it is detected whether a vehicle moves on a road in the direction along the route from the azimuth information of the geomagnetic sensor 15, and the azimuth information difference toward a next intersection or next corner, and, thus, notification is performed gradually. In the detection processing of the approaching degree to the destination, the approaching degree to the destination is detected from the number of steps calculated from acceleration information and integrated value of step information and distance information from the origin to the destination, and, based on the approaching degree, notification is performed gradually.
