PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of a fault in a function of a host device when replaced with a hard disk device. SOLUTION: A semiconductor disk device 1 includes: a data storage part 20 comprising a memory array 21; a setting and management information storage part 15 for storing a set value of a start-up time at the time of power-on; and a delay processing part 12 which delays the start-up time required before putting the data storage part 20 into a readable/writable state after power-on, by the set value of the start-up time stored in the setting and management information storage part 15.
