PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact air compressor achieved high reliability by efficiently cooling a part of a compressor with an integrated tank, in which the temperature rises high. SOLUTION: This air compressor includes: a compressor body for compressing gas; a pair of nearly cylindrical storage tanks arranged in parallel with each other for storing the gas compressed by the compressor body; a motor arranged over the pair of storage tanks and having a rotary shaft arranged in a direction crossing the axial direction of the pair of storage tanks to drive the compressor body; a cooling fan provided in an end of the rotary shaft; and a cover for covering the compressor body, the pair of storage tanks, the motor, and the cooling fan. The cover has an intake opening for sucking the cooling air into the air compressor and a discharge opening for discharging the cooling air outside the air compressor, and the discharge opening is arranged at a position lower than upper ends of the storage tanks.
