PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the overhead in transmitting a large number of data items, each being of small size, such as sensor data, as a result of search. SOLUTION: In the information recording device 100, an information selection unit 104 selects data of high similarity out of data held in a primary information holding unit 103, and an information extracting unit 106 reads the data selected by the information selection unit 104 to generate a chunk data file, to be held in a distributed file system 111. The information extracting unit 106 deletes the data selected by the selection unit 104 from the primary information holding unit 103. When a request processing unit 101 receives a search request from a host 130, an information search unit 109 reads, when a collective answer flag of the search request is Yes, a file name corresponding to the search request from an index holding unit 107, and the request processing unit 101 transmits a search result including the read file name.
