PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of suppressing leakage of liquid developer to the outside, and suppressing sedimentation of the liquid developer. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus 1 includes: a liquid developer supply device 38 having a liquid developer channel in which the liquid developer circulates, and supplying the liquid developer from an ejection port 39a of the liquid developer channel to a developing device 14; a storage container 277 storing the liquid developer; a conveying means P8 capable of feeding the liquid developer from the storage container 277 to the liquid developer channel, and making the liquid developer in the liquid developer channel flow backward to the storage container 277; and a control part C controlling the conveying means P8. In non-developing operation time in which toner image forming operation by the developing device 14 is not performed, the control part C controls the conveying means P8 to make at least some of the liquid developer existing in the liquid developer channel flow backward to the storage container 277.
