A running schedule for forklifts (1-4) is configured from a plurality of operating cycles (C1-C7). Each operating cycle (C1-C7) in the running schedule is configured to have a charge programme (B1-B7) which is set to be of a shorter duration than a continuous running capability duration corresponding to the capacity of a rechargeable battery, and a run programme (A1-A7) which is implemented after charging.
