PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an efficient heavy load carrying system and a heavy load carrying method, advantageous in terms of cost, without requiring transshipment of a heavy load to a trailer. SOLUTION: A container 10 is mounted on a front part on a chassis 9 connected to a tractor 8, and a heavy load carrying device 11 is arranged in its rear part. A pallet 13 of a steel plate coil 12 stored in the container 10 is connected to a traveling body of the heavy load carrying device 11 with a wire, and the steel plate coil 12 is extracted in the direction of the heavy load carrying device 11. Even if the steel plate coil 12 exists in any position of the container 10, the coil can be extracted on the heavy load carrying device 11 by repeating traction-delivery of the traveling body by adjusting a connecting wire. The steel plate coil 12 extracted on the heavy load carrying device 11 is unloaded with a crane 14 possessed by an end user, and carrying-in of the steel plate coil 12 is completed.
