<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve servo tracking performance in a servo control in an optical disk device. <P>SOLUTION: The optical disk device includes: a gain setter which sets a gain with respect to a servo error signal based on whether a track followed by a light spot is being already recorded or not yet and whether information has been recorded in or reproduced from an optical disk; and a drive signal generator which generates a drive signal for driving a servo actuator based on the servo error signal with respect to which the gain is set. The gain setter, when the track followed by the light spot has already been recorded and information is being reproduced from the optical disk, changes the set gain when seeking is performed to a predetermined region provided on the optical disk in order to adjust the light emission power of laser light. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
