<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure a thrust load placed on each bearing pad of a thrust bearing. <P>SOLUTION: The thrust bearing 10 includes a plurality of bearing pads 14A-14F which are annularly provided inside a bearing case so that the bearing pads 14A-14F relatively slide in opposition to a collar portion of a rotor and axially receive load from the collar portion, in which the bearing pads 14A-14F are axially supported by the bearing case to regulate the axial displacement of the rotor. The thrust bearing further includes a plurality of load cell units 20A-20F provided respectively in conformation to the plurality of bearing pads. Each of the load cell units 20A-20F includes a load receiving portion provided between each bearing pad 14A-14F and the bearing case to receive a thrust load from the bearing pad 14A-14F, and a load detection unit which detects the thrust load placed on the bearing pad 14A-14F based on the deformation of the load receiving portion. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
