<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device in which the influence of variation in Vth of a drive transistor is reduced, power consumption is also reduced, and circuit scale and the number of connection points are prevented from increasing. <P>SOLUTION: In the display device, each of a plurality of pixels has a transistor, a capacitor, and a display element. One terminal of the capacitor is electrically connected to a first line. The other terminal of the capacitor is electrically connected to a gate of the transistor. In a first period, a first terminal of the transistor is electrically connected to the gate of the transistor, and the gate of the transistor is electrically connected to a second line. In a second period, the first terminal of the transistor is electrically connected to the gate of the transistor, and a second terminal of the transistor is electrically connected to a third line.
