PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet feeding apparatus capable of reliably feeding a sheet without damaging a rear end of a sheet having low stiffness, or the like, and to provide an image forming apparatus with the sheet feeding apparatus. SOLUTION: An interlocking mechanism 18 moves a sheet 26 in a sheet feeding direction while exposing a sheet moving member 24 on a mounting surface 21a when a lifting-lowering plate 22 approaches to a feeding roller 2. Further, when the lifting-lowering plate 22 separates from the feeding roller 2, the interlocking mechanism 18 retreats the sheet moving member 24 to beneath the mounting surface 21a and moves the sheet moving member 24 with separating in a direction opposite to the sheet feeding direction. Thus, it is possible to give a biasing force, which is used to be given to the rear end of a sheet, to an under surface of a sheet, and to prevent damaging the rear end of the laminated sheet 26. Also, a user operation for a rear end regulation member can be eliminated, so that it is possible to more widely respond to a media, thereby achieving a sheet feeding device 10 having high usability.
