PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cationic polymer which develops the high re-stain proofness when used as a detergent additive. SOLUTION: This cationic copolymer includes 1-55 mass% of a structure (structure A) derived from a polyalkylene oxide-based monomer (a) having a structure expressed by formula (1) and 45-99 mass% of a structure (structure B) derived from a cationic monomer (b) containing at least one nitrogen atom.
