The present invention relates to a vaginal speculum, in which the proximal ends of a lower dilating plate and an upper dilating plate are tightly arranged with respect to one another and are coupled together via a hinge pin, such that the vagina can be dilated by means of the upper dilating plate moving about the hinge pin, wherein a slot is formed into a predetermined area in the lengthwise direction on the surface of the lower dilating plate and/or of the upper dilating plate. The vaginal speculum of the present invention is advantageous in that the entire internal vaginal wall can be freely viewed via the slot by just one insertion of the speculum into the vagina, thereby enabling diagnosis and treatment to be easily performed. |
