<p>Disclosed is a sewing machine thread-cutting device which reliably hooks, captures, and guides a thread to a fixed blade. Further disclosed is a sewing machine thread-cutting device in which maintenance, such as changing the fixed blade, is simple. The device is provided with: a thread-capture member which has a hook unit for hooking the thread, and which hooks and captures the thread on the hook unit in the rim of the inner shuttle (21) of a horizontal shuttle by means of a linear reciprocating motion at the bottom of a needle plate; and a fixed blade which cuts the thread captured by the thread capture member. In a portion of the upper part of the side wall unit forming the bobbin receptacle which houses the bobbin of the inner shuttle (21), the horizontal shuttle has an overhang portion (24) below which the thread capture member can reciprocate, and on the top surface of the overhang portion (24), the horizontal shuttle is provided with a guiding member (26) for guiding the thread to the region where the thread capture member (14) reciprocates below the overhang portion (24).</p> |
