发明名称 Improvements in heat exchangers
摘要 770,201. Air conditioning. MUNTERS, C. G. July 7, 1954 [July 13, 1953], No. 19862/54. Class 137 [Also in Group XIII] Apparatus for exchanging heat between two air currents, e.g. fresh and stale air passing to and from a room comprises mutually spaced sheets extending in the direction of now of the air and made from a material of poor heat conductivity, e.g. paper, or other non-metallic, fibrous or organic material heat being delivered to the sheets by one air current and absorbed therefrom by the other, the sheets being mutually spaced by an average distance not exceeding 1.5mm. and preferably less than 1 mm. The sheets may be made liquid repellant e.g. by impregnation with paraffin or silicon compounds. Alternatively if moisture as well as heat is to be exchanged betwee the two air streams, finely ground silica gel is applied to or incorporated in the sheets or the sheets may be made of paper, woollen fabric or a suitable synthetic plastic. The heat or heat and moisture transferring material is preferably arranged in the form of a rotor moving continuously through the two separate streams of air so that the interspaces in the rotor are traversed alternately by each air stream as the rotor rotates. The air How through the rotor may be in an axial or a radial direction. For axial flow, the rotor comprises a spirally wound sheet 26 (Fig. 4) adjacent turns of which are spaced apart by small ridges 28 formed on the sheet or alternately plain and corrugated sheets 30, 32 (Fig. 5) joined together and then wound spirally. In a radial flow rotor (Fig. 6) the sheets 58 extend radially and are arranged in packs between radial supporting walls 60 of the rotor.
