<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a metal-coated particle having a polymer particle as a matrix particle and a metal-coated layer as a surface layer, which method conveniently and safely produces a metal-coated particle having a metal-coated layer of uniform thickness. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing a metal-coated particle having a vinylic polymer particle as a base particle and a metal-coated layer as a surface layer, includes a step (I) wherein the base particle, a gold compound, a reducing agent, and a polymer compound as an additive are added to water and/or an organic solvent to prepare a dispersion of the base particle, and the gold compound is reduced to allow a gold fine particle to adhere onto the surface of the base particle; and a step (II) wherein a metal-coated layer is formed on a surface of the gold-adhered base particle obtained in the step (I) by electroless plating. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
