PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To securely transfer data on a network.

SOLUTION: A data transfer method includes: a public key acquiring step in which a data transmitting apparatus 12 for transmitting data to a designated user acquires a public key corresponding to the user from a data management apparatus 13 that is a transmission destination of the data; a data transmitting step in which the data transmitting apparatus 12 transmits encryption completed data, which are encrypted data, and an encryption completed decryption key, which is a decryption key for decrypting the data and encrypted with the public key acquired in the public key acquiring step, to the data management apparatus 13; and a data preserving step in which the data management apparatus 13 preserves the encrypted data and the encrypted decryption key, which are transmitted in the data transmitting step, in a storage means, while associating them with the user.
