IMAGE GENERATING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image generating apparatus for instantly obtaining an image which can be viewed while reproducing the movement of a subject by generating a static image from a motion image.

SOLUTION: The image generating apparatus includes: a main subject determining section for determining a main subject from among a plurality of continuously photographed images; a duplicating section for selecting at least one sheet of image as a selection frame among the plurality of images and generating a duplicate image using each of image portions of the main subject from the one or more selected frames; and a compositing section for selecting the one sheet of image as a base sheet among the plurality of images and generating a composite image in which the one or more duplicate images are composited to an image on the base sheet.
