ETHYLENE GENERATOR FOR PLANT HORMONE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ethylene generator for plant hormones which can be easily produced and can be easily handled. SOLUTION: The ethylene generator for plant hormones includes a housing member 2 provided with an outer part 6 having air permeability and an inner part 7 which is located inside the outer part 6 and has air permeability and water absorptivity. The housing member 2 houses organic matter 3 and a solution sealing body 5 in which a solution 4 containing organic matter 3 and reduced iron is sealed. If a body 8 of the sealing body is broken by the application of external force to the solution sealing body 5, the solution 4 can flow out of the solution sealing body 5, and the organic matter 3 and the solution 4 can be brought into contact with each other within the housing member 2. When the organic matter 3 and the solution 4 are brought into contact with each other, Fe2+derived from the reduced iron of the solution 4 will act on the organic matter 3 to produce ethylene. This ethylene permeates the outer part 6 and the inner part 7 of the housing member 2 to be generated from the ethylene generator 1 for plant hormones. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
