PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new neuropathic pain alleviating agent by disclosing a new component having a pain-alleviating effect of the neuropathic pain so as to make the component to be utilized effectively. SOLUTION: This neuropathic pain alleviating agent is provided by including≥1 kind of an ascorbic acid derivative expressed by chemical formula [wherein, R1and R2are each H or 4-30C alkyl branching at second position, provided that the case of R1=R2=hydrogen (H) is excluded] and including L-ascorbic acid-2-phosphate ester in which the phosphate ester part has the branched alkyl groups, or its organic or inorganic salt as an active ingredient.
