PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photoirradiation apparatus for an endoscope including an endoscope insertion part inserted into a body cavity to guide irradiation light for irradiating an observed region, capable of changing the angle of expansion of irradiation light by a miniaturized and simple structure without enlarging the apparatus. SOLUTION: The photoirradiation apparatus is configured to switch between the irradiation of the observed region with irradiation light by a tapered first multi-mode optical fiber 61 and the irradiation of the observed region with irradiation light by a second multi-mode optical fiber 71 whose taper rate is lower than that of the first multi-mode optical fiber 61.
