<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate work of removing an assembly after a wire is crimped to a terminal by a crimping tool. <P>SOLUTION: The crimping tool includes a frame for holding a first crimping die and second crimping die 44 in a crimping region 61. The frame has an opening 60 accessible to the crimping region. A ram 92 is coupled to the first crimping die so as to drive the first crimping die toward the second crimping die. A swinging arm 62 is rotatably coupled to the frame between an opened position and a closed position. In the closed position, the swinging arm closes the opening in the frame. The swinging arm has a pivot end 70 pivotally coupled to the frame and a distal end 72 opposite to the pivot end. The terminal end engages with the frame in the closed position.
