PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a user to easily recognize annunciating sound without depending on a circumferential environment. SOLUTION: Ringing incoming call sound informing a user of an incoming call is adjusted in sound quality and sound volume by a sound quality adjustment part 22 and a sound volume adjustment part 23, and output from a speaker 24. Circumferential sound is collected in a microphone 25, and estimated environmental sound obtained by removing ringing incoming call sound from the sound is extracted by adaptive filter processing by an adaptive filter processing part 26. A sound volume control part 30 controls sound volume adjustment of the ringing incoming call sound by the sound volume adjustment part 23 based on a feature quantity extracted from the ringing incoming call sound and the estimated environmental sound. A sound quality control part 31 controls sound quality adjustment of the ringing incoming call sound by the sound quality adjustment part 22 based on the feature quantity extracted from the estimated environmental sound. For instance, the sound quality is adjusted to emphasize a frequency band of the estimated environmental sound weak in power. This invention is applicable to a cellular phone.
