PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing device for a wheel bearing, compactly formed, easily assembled as a structural unit and adapted so that a bearing with a sensor device is least affected by contamination from the outside. SOLUTION: An encoder 10 is disposed around an inner race 3, and completely covered at least in a radial direction and at least partially covered in an axial direction with a covering element 20. The covering element 20 is fixed to an outer race 5 and is rotatable relative to the encoder 10. Neither the encoder nor a sensor enters a radial bearing clearance 21, and the covering element 20 is provided between the encoder and the sensor. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
