PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyamide 56 chopped fiber having high hydrophilicity and dynamic properties, and furthermore being excellent in heat resistance, flexibility and also in elasticity. SOLUTION: The chopped fiber made of polyamide 56 having a sulfuric acid relative viscosity of 2.0-5.0, has a water content of 7 wt.% or more at a temperature of 25°C with a relative humidity of 90%.
