<p>Provided are a creation method, a detection method, and an operation method of a stego image wherein when the stego image is subjected to an image processing, hidden information is visualized. Further, a means for intentionally detecting the information is also provided. A stego image is formed by hiding a superimposed image in a cover image so that the superimposed image cannot to be viewed by a human eye, and the superimposed image is detected from the stego image subjected to the image processing. A superimposing process provides the superimposed image with a geometric deformation property and a recompression coding property, and superimposes the thin superimposed image on the cover image. Because the superimposed image cannot be viewed by a human eye, the stego image can be sold and distributed in a normal way. When the stego image is subjected to the image processing, signal components having the geometric deformation property and the recompression coding property are emphasized, and thus, the superimposed image is visualized. For example, by writing characters to warn against a fraudulent act or displaying image generation time to be used as a proof, by the superimposed image, the invention can be used to prevent the fraudulent act and to verify authenticity.</p> |
