<p>The present disclosures adequately perform a search in an image containing a complicated layout structure, embellished lettering, or the like. An image search device (10) is provided with: an image database (11) that stores images that are to be searched; a character string region extraction unit (13) that extracts character string regions that are in the images and in which character strings are contained; a character candidate recognition unit (14) that identifies a plurality of character candidates by performing character recognition on the images for each character constituting the character strings contained in the character string region; a character candidate recording unit (15) that associates and records in the order of the character strings the plurality of character candidates with the image that is the source of identification of said character candidates; a search keyword input unit (17) that inputs a keyword for search; a search unit (18) that performs a search as to whether or not the characters constituting the keyword for search matches any of the plurality of character candidates constituting the character strings; and an output unit (19) that outputs search results.</p> |
