<p>The unit has two terminals connected parallel to a solar module (1) to be monitored. A measuring device e.g. temperature sensor (22), voltage measuring device (24) and current measuring device (23) and Hall sensor, determines a parameter of the solar module. A transmission unit (25) transmits data and/or signals over a load cabling of the solar module, and a microprocessor of nanowatt technology controls the unit. A microcontroller (20) provides the data of the measuring device and/or an identity label (21) directly or by the transmission unit after evaluation in a processing unit.
